Hi, I’m Melissa! I enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to lead the product design process through discovery workshops, compelling storytelling, user research, and detailed execution. Most recently, I worked with Macy’s, where I led the design of Style Inspo, a key initiative for the mobile app in 2019.
I have a degree in Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction from UC San Diego, where I founded and led the Design for America studio and was part of the Design Co leadership team. It was through these groups that I found my passion for human-centered design and a strong, supportive community of fellow alumni and friends.
Outside of work you can find me: planning trip itineraries, group activities, dinner party menus... anything I can conceivably throw into a spreadsheet or my Notes app; curating playlists to match my moods; or teaching my friends how to make dumplings and hand-pulled noodles from scratch!
